Virginia was born and raised in Pateley Bridge in the heart of Nidderdale, North Yorkshire. Her family have lived and worked on the land here for generations.

​

In this place, Virginia has a great sense of identity and belonging and her work shares the optimism, hope and joy she experiences when walking and photographing this landscape.

 

She records vegetation, colours and the evocative sounds of the landscape, each time creating an atmospheric sense of place.
